Optimizing nanomaterial delivery to solid tumors by pharmaceutical and physical means
Mukaddes Izci's research focuses on a new method to deliver nanomaterials to solid tumors in the most optimal way. Using the combination of imaging (IVIS spectum, light-sheet microscopy, etc.), pharmaceutical agents and a series of nanomaterials of different sizes, a matrix for optimal nanomaterial delivery efficacy will be developed.
This method could be a great step forward in the field of personalized medicine. The nanomaterials used can be easily tuned in size and the optimal formulation can then be selected in function of the vascular properties of the patient to be treated.
